Araceli's Quinceñera!! Where to begin?!

We started with an early drive to Modesto, CA, It's about an hour drive from where we are located. We actually drive to the Modesto area quite often for events, so this was another fun day for us!

As we arrived at Araceli's home, she was basically ready with her hair and make-up, and we were able to capture some of her hair and make-up process. Her parents helped her with her last details of the dress and earrings. The limo arrived in time to drive them to California State University.

We only had a few minutes to take photos with her court and friends. We were planning to walk around the location to find more options for photos but we couldn't afford to lose time walking so we decided to set up in one area of the park with decent shade. It was also getting warm, so staying in one area with shade was a good decision and the results were great! This session is always fun because we got to take some great photos of Araceli and her court to remember the day!

The ceremony took place at the St Stanislaus Catholic Church in Modesto. This church did not allow us to use any flash photography but there was enough natural light coming from the windows, so there were no problems at all. Most of her closest friends and family were there to be part of a very special ceremony. Being surrounded by all the people that loves her was a very special experience!

As we arrived to the Fleur de Lis Reception Hall there were a few of the guests already inside. We decided to work on taking photos of table arrangements and other details. Meanwhile, the DJ was playing music while everyone else was arriving. After dinner, it was time to begin the events of the night. It started out with the exchange of the crown and shoes, followed by a very emotional dance with her father and mother separately. Her quince court had also prepared a couple of performances for everyone else to enjoy. I will let you see those photos below! To finish up this section, they had a toast with friends and family and finished up with the cake cutting. As we were moving towards the end of the night, the dance floor opened up and this was where everyone got up from their seats and joined Araceli on the dance floor!!!

I cannot write enough about how amazing this day was but I do have many photographs that can tell you many more words! I hope you enjoy the photographs! Share it with family and friends!
