Magaly's Quinceañera! I don't even know where to begin, it was such an amazing day! Full of energy and mixed emotions throughout the day, it was so evident to see how loved she is by everyone!!
Lets begin at the start of the day, we arrived at Magaly's home to begin photographing her day that everyone was waiting for! The dress was already set up on a mannequin, which made it look even more stunning! We took photos of her accessories separately from her dress. Her hair and make-up process was very smooth and quick! But getting on the dress was a bit more difficult than what I imagined! After a few minutes of working on getting her dress on, everyone came around to see her in her beautiful dress!!
The ceremony was set for a later start time, so we decided to go to do a photo session with Magaly and her court first, in order to have enough time throughout the day. We headed with her court and family to the McKinley Rose garden. Half way during the session we got some rain! Who would think that there will be rain in June?! Even though we had some rain and a few complications with re-adjusting the dress, we managed to get all the photos that she wanted to get! This session is always fun because we take a few photos of the quinceanera along with her family members.
The ceremony took place at St. Mary's Church in Sacramento. Most of her closest family and friends were there for her to be part of a very special ceremony. Being surrounded by all the people that loves her was a very special experience!
Right after the ceremony, we headed to the reception at the Grand Pavilion Banquet Hall in Sacramento. As we arrived at the venue we were impressed by all the amazing decorations throughout the hall. There was a beautiful entrance with an amazing acrylic print from our pre-event session, the dessert table was top notch and let's not forget about the stunning cake presentation!!!!
The mariachi band was playing music while everyone was arriving and during dinner. After dinner, it was time to begin the events of the night. It started out with a dance with her chambelanes, then a dance with her dad and mom, then the change of shoes, followed by a toast and finishing up with the cake cutting. Not to mention an awesome performance of the surprise dance with her court! As we were moving towards the end of the night, the dance floor opened up! This was where everyone got from their seat and joined Magaly to join the dance floor!!!
