Our Story
Their wedding took place in Colusa CA. The venue was at The Colusa Fairgrounds. This was my first time in this venue. We were very happy to know that the reception was inside of the reception hall. It was one of the hottest day of the summer so far, temperature reached 113 degrees! Having A/C inside the hall was a huge relief for everyone.
We started the day with Cesar at about 9am. By this time of the day they weather was starting to warm up. It was already around 80 degrees. When we arrived he had most of his outfit ready to go we just needed to capture some details while he was getting ready. He was very calm through the morning, however, he did say that he could not sleep all night because he was very nervous and couldn’t believe that the big day was finally here! After finishing up with Cesar we headed out to where Lupita was getting ready.
After arriving with Lupita we wanted to capture a few detail shots of her beautiful dress and accessories. She was ready to go so we immediately had her into her dress. After she changed into her dress her parents helped her with her accessories. They were both very excited and happy to see her in her wedding dress! Right before heading to the door, her parents had a few minutes to give her their blessing.
The ceremony took place at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Arbuckle CA. The ceremony was very special for Lupita and Cesar. They both had their closest friends and family! Everyone was very happy that they got to experience a very especial time. When the ceremony ended everyone cheered to congratulate them on their next chapter in life!
After the ceremony everyone came along to congratulate them! We were able to make some time take a few photos with their family and guest. I was able to see how close everyone was with Lupita and Cesar.
After the ceremony we headed out to the area nearby the venue to take a few photos with family and the bridesmaids. We didn’t want to spend too much time out there because by this time the temperature was already at about 110 degrees! After the photo session we headed to the venue to begin with the next events on the agenda. The reception was an indoor setting, everything went very smoothly throughout out the night. The dance floor opened after cutting the cake then everyone got up to dance with the couple! It was an incredible night!
